Key Points

  1. You will need a valid passport and a government issued ID (such as drivers license) in order to begin classes.
  2. 120 course credit hours are required for graduation. The projected cost is $110 per credit hour for a total of $13,2002 plus the cost of text books and Gleim training materials2.
  3. The flight related costs are $40,2751 and includes required learning materials and up to 250 flight/simulator hours. ( Projected at $150 per flight hour, $175 each for 3 FAA Written Exams and $750 each for 3 FAA Checkrides.)
  4. Combining the two previous items brings the total to $53,475. Divide this by the number of quarters the student requires to complete the program to arrive at per quarter costs. For example, if the student completes the program in the recommended 10 quarters then the per quarter cost is $53,475/10 = $5347.50/3 months per quarter or $1782.50 a month.
  5. If the student requires housing, the per-quarter cost increases by $275 per month, (single student housing for 30 months.) = $8,250. If married student housing is needed, please contact the college. All students are eligible for supplemental food provided through local food bank ministries. This typically consists of a variety of canned, boxed, refrigerated & frozen food items and is a blessing that otside the control of the CMA and is not a guarantee.

2 College credit can be given for transfer hours and pilot certificates currently held. This will lower the tuition and flight training costs.

Note: The projected costs above are for Fall 2021, and are re-evaluated at the beginning of each academic year. They are based on expenses incurred by the college and every effort is made to minimize the cost to the student.
